Established in 2002 through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness, the MiRegion6 Healthcare Coalition brings together healthcare and response partners across the region to strengthen emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
Through the Hospital Preparedness (HP) Program, the coalition collaborates with hospitals, emergency medical services, public health agencies, and supporting healthcare organizations to ensure a coordinated, effective response to terrorism, natural disasters, public health threats, and other healthcare emergencies.
MiRegion6 is committed to building resilient healthcare systems by enhancing planning, communication, training, and resource coordination—ensuring the region is prepared to protect and care for its communities when it matters most.
